Dear Collector

We are very pleased to announce our second catalogue in a series: The Collection of R. de R. Jooste: The Anglo-Boer War, South African History and Related Subjects.  As pointed out when the first catalogue was issued at this time last year, there are not many South African War collections to match that of Dr Tielman Jooste, and several of the items in the catalogue are seldom seen on the market.

Included are left-over items from the first catalogue, unsold items from the “preview of Catalogue 37” sent out last year, and many things as yet unadvertised.  Although the Rand has lost value against major currencies in the past year, we have fixed the price of the residual titles at the Rand value when they were first publicised. All books shown in the new catalogue are priced in South African Rands.  Over three hundred and sixty books or sets are listed, and all are thoroughly catalogued.  Several are illustrated.
